Elaine Everett, founder and principal of the business, developed the original idea for Motivation & Co. In 1997, Elaine’s grandfather was taken ill and ended up living in a care home. Whilst visiting him on a regular basis, Elaine observed that many of the residents appeared to be simply “whiling away the hours” (and the days) with little or nothing to do and that generally there was little in the way of social interaction or stimulation for the residents.
