Testimonials

I have been attending the classes for over a year. The classes are held on a weekly basis and I look forward to attending. Whatever my mood at the start I always feel uplifted when I have participated in a class.

During the time I have participated in the classes I have noticed an improvement in the movements I can make with my hands and feet. Each week I can feel any improvements in my flexibility continuing.

The classes help us to interact with each other as they bring us together to participate. The content of the classes is varied and generates a good discussion amongst the group.

I have used Motivation & Co for many months now to inspire my service users and to get them motivated to exercise.

Alison has continued with her very high standard of work and has managed to motivate the most difficult of people to join in her weekly class. She has managed to get arms and legs working that had all but given up, just with a little encouragement. She is very polite and happy in her work. She is very well organised with fully insurance cover, dates for classes prepared well in advance, has never let us down and is thoroughly professional in her approach to her work with our service users.

I can thoroughly highly recommend her to any client group such as ourselves.

The class is excellent once every four weeks for about an hour. It certainly keeps the mind exercised. The physical exercises are good and not too strenuous. I thoroughly enjoy the class.

I have been a regular visitor to Country View Nursing Home, for some eight months now and have observed Alison at work with the residents. She has a relaxed, calm approach and is friendly and humorous: the interaction is positive between both her and the residents, who palpably enjoy the hour she spends with them.

As a relative visiting a resident at Highclere Nursing Home I was very impressed with the participation and reaction of the people taking part that I am sure would benefit greatly from further such activities.

Motivation & Co comes to Margaret’s Rest Home on a four weekly basis to involve our service users in various activities which include games that initiate body co-ordination e.g. catching bean bags which actually keeps clients eye contact and physical reaction thus co-ordinating hand to eye movements. Alongside this the class incorporates musical movements, which involve arms, legs, etc. again very good for circulation and to keep the limbs supple, which is very good for the clients mobility.

Another regime which is equally important in the welfare of the elderly is to stimulate the mind. The Motivation & Co class does this in a way that can be a good amusing social activity.

This programme brings to the clients of Margaret’s Rest Home a fun, social and lively activity which is enjoyed and looked forward to by all the service users involved.

We have been holding Motivation & Co classes within the Nursing Home for over a year. These classes consist of group games, quizzes and exercises and are held on a fortnightly basis.

The Motivation and Co classes are always thoroughly enjoyed by the patients within the Nursing Home and are thought to be of great value to many of them. Mrs Hadley works very hard to involve as many people as possible in her classes and this is greatly appreciated.

Both patients and staff think very highly of Mrs Hadley and find her to be consistently kind and helpful.

I have been using Motivation & Co as part of the activity programme for the clients in our care home.

Alison has demonstrated her skills, knowledge and experience in her field to motivate our residents. She manages to get most of the residents to take part in her class. The older people in our home have benefited from the gentle exercises.

Alison has a very gentle approach and caring personality. She is well organised during her class and totally professional in her work and interaction with our residents.

I would not hesitate to recommend Alison to any client groups or care settings.

We at Clanfield asked Motivation & Co to come and encourage our residents to join in with gentle exercise, quiz and games. This we did initially once a fortnight, we did this for a couple of months, and our residents enjoyed this so much that we have asked her to come every week. Alison is a very pleasant lady and has good communications skills as our residents have various degrees of mobility and speech.

Just a letter to thank you for the demonstration you provided for us at Hemmingwell Lodge, for myself and other managers.

We all enjoyed the demonstration and realised the value that these series of activities would be in benefiting the dementia sufferers within our homes. After discussion with the Managers and our own Line Managers it has unfortunately been impossible for us to book your activities, due to lack of funds within our budgets. Our Line Managers instructed us that we pay for the cost from our own budgets, but we just don’t have that provision built into the budgets.

Unfortunately, we can not proceed along this route due to the above, whilst also realising how beneficial these activities would be for our residents.
